How to Steal a Nigerian Election

On this episode , following Nigeria's 2023 Presidential and National Assembly Elections Osayi, Ayo , Mira and Tola explore the reasons for our trust issues with INEC by brainstorming the best way to steal an election (with the consent of INEC of-course). We ask whether they have been set up to fail at the institutional level, or if it’s due to political corruption (pay to play). Could it be that it’s not their fault? Because the nature of Nigerian Politics, which seems to always have a tinge of violence and intimidation (and now hacking), is INEC simply a victim? In the second half of the podcast we desperately attempt to find a positive spin by discussing what integrity would look like, we come up with innovative ideas since real electronic voting seems to be off the table. Despite the circumstances, this episode is a lot of laughs, I mean what else is the option at this point. ** Music ** Theme Song by 1705muzik Blood, Sweat & Tears - Dreamville, Bas & Black Sheriff ft.
It's Election Day, and if you can, go and vote!!! On this episode, we'll be exploring the relationship between the Executive, Legislative and Gubernatorial branches of Government, and to unpack this I have a few good friends joining the show - Ayo , Mira and Tola . We attempt to answer.. How exactly does the National Assembly function? What exactly do they campaign about? And what powers does the House and Senate have over the other branches? Especially when it comes to keeping the themselves in check. ** Music ** Theme Song by 1705muzik Owa - Falz ft.
On this episode, we imagine a Peter Obi Presidency and what that may look like without real party representation in the National Assembly. Over the next series of episodes we’ll be exploring Nigeria’s 2023 Elections and to unpack this I have a few good friends joining the show - Ayo , Mira and Tola . We're asking whether a 3rd party candidate like Peter Obi (or any of the other 15 candidates) can leverage the support of the people, their political relationships and their own resources or the party’s to win the Presidency? Listen to hear what we've learnt! ** Music ** Theme Song by 1705muzik ️ Engage with the show on tiktok and instagram - @twotakesandapod Support the show by giving us a 5 star rating and Subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts.
