"A Little Woo Woo" with Driadonna Roland

Today we’re sitting down with Writer, Editor and Producer, Driadonna Roland.Too many times have we associated the act of getting to know oneself to be that of a rather unfavorable position to be in. If I don’t already have a grip on my truest self, then how is who I am and what I do valid? “Figuring it out”, a daunting little phrase when you’re the subject in question, but in listening to Driadonna, you might start to think a little differently about taking yourself out on that date. In a convergence between religion, gut instinct and therapy, this lady takes it in stride, all whilst armed with a loyalty to herself, a bold lip, and a zest for all that is to come. You can find more Driadonna at:https://driadonna.com/https://bit.ly/2xQBrwmhttps://www.instagram.com/dreetv/Please share your thoughts and show us some love by subscribing, or get in touch to be featured on the podcast!
Today we’re sitting down with Artist and Psychotherapist, Kate Rosenberg.Spoiler alert, Kate’s spirit animal is the deer, and that’s exactly how she comes off as. Undisturbed and gentle in her being, we discuss how her experience with illness might have simultaneously served as the door through which she found an environment in which she was comfortable. Looking to pursue healing in the form of therapy, she applied to Pratt’s Expressive Therapy Program and, today, unites her work in Expressive and Psychodynamic therapy with her background in the arts, as well as pulling from Somatic, Play, Mindfulness, Humanistic, and Attachment-based theories.*breathe break* She’s also currently delving into Shamanism, offering clients a journey through which they come to recognize their own spirit and ally animals.Voicing our opinions on therapy as a legitimate form of self-maintenance, and whether we, independently, are capable of breaking patterns of a self-destructive nature, or if seeking external aid is the o...

"It's An Asset" with Fran Meneses

Today we’re sitting down with Illustrator and Youtuber, Fran Meneses. Our sensitivities and doubts are unrelenting in their claim for our thoughts and time, Fran, during which, acknowledges this all openly. Finding a place on Youtube, her content touches on the varying degrees of being an artist and general human being simply finding their way in the world. And yes, there are sketchbook tours and stationery hauls and PENS - what more could one ask for!?Whether you’re watching Fran’s videos, or snuggled in bed with her *ehem* latest graphic novel “About To Leave”, they’re all expressions of someone who’s gone after their dreams, who invites you to do the same, and who’s created a space in which we might not feel so alone in doing so.We talk about how having a prominent online following puts you in the position of being a “role model”, and how this goes hand-in-hand with the imposter syndrome of being self-made.You can find Fran on camera here:https://bit.ly/2wds4HhInstagram Fran here:https:/...

"The Soul of The Sole" with Lauren Brinkers

Today we’re sitting down with Brooklyn based shoe designer, Lauren Brinkers.Conversing with Lauren instilled in me a sense of contentedness towards the unknowing of the future. At one point she references Rebecca Solnit, author of “A Field Guide To Getting Lost”, in that it is within the unplanned that we find our intentions. It is with this mindset that Lauren pursued her zeal for shoemaking, becoming a nurse as a means to support this passion and crossing oceans to further cultivate her skill. Listen in as we touch on scaling your business whilst preserving craft, as well as maintaining in-house production, to finding your place within an already niche community. You can find Lauren’s shoes, and potentially nab yourself a pair, here:https://www.instagram.com/laurenbrinkers/Please share your thoughts and show us some love by subscribing, or get in touch to be featured on the podcast!
Released every other Monday - thanks for lending us an ear.www.instagram.com/gutssnglory/
yougotgutsyouareglory@gm...
