He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronics from Karnatak University and a Master of Business Administration from North Eastern University. He then worked in the Infrastructure, Finance and Risk industry for over thirty years at companies like NIIF infrastructure Finance Limited, IDFC Infrastructure Finance Limited, L&amp;amp;T Infrastructure Finance Co Ltd, Crisil Risk and Infrastructure Limited, ICICI Bank and Ernst and Young. At the age of 46 he had to undergo a open heart surgery, after which he then decided to take up long distance running. He has now run a marathon on 6 continents and documented his inspiring journey in the book,  Fuel for My Journey  .
