Moses ground that idol into dust and made the children of Israel drink it.  Jeroboam, king of Israel built 2 golden calves for the people of God to worship.  Today in the churches they set up ministers for the people to worship calling these men "Reverend", "Pope", and such ... and then they set up crosses of wood and stone for the people to bow down before.
